Chitina, Alaska is a small town located in the Copper River Valley. Although there is no population listed for this region, it is a popular destination for fishing and sightseeing in the summer months. With such a small town, public transportation options are limited. The main form of public transportation to and from Chitina is the Copper River & Northwestern Railway which runs between the towns of Chitina and McCarthy. However, this service only operates during the summer months so it is not always available as an option. There is also air service provided by Wrangell Mountain Air which connects Chitina with Anchorage and other nearby towns and villages.
