Eastport, ID 83826 is a small rural town located in the northeast corner of the state. It’s population is around 500 people and it has limited public transportation options. The public transit that is available are two bus routes operated by Panhandle Public Transportation Authority (PPTA). One route runs from the nearby city of Newport to Eastport, while the other connects Eastport to Priest River. Both bus routes have stops in Eastport at least once per day. Additionally, there are several taxi services operating within Eastport as well as multiple rental car companies located within 20 miles of the city. These transportation options provide residents with access to employment and other destinations such as grocery stores or hospitals outside of their town, enabling them to reach these services even when they don’t have their own vehicle available.
