Beatty, Oregon is a small town in Harney County with a population of approximately 350 residents. Despite its size, Beatty offers some great public transportation options for its citizens and visitors. The area is served by the SAGE Stage bus service which provides daily service to key destinations around the town, including connecting with nearby Burns and other larger cities in the region. For those travelling farther distances, Amtrak offers two routes through Beatty twice a day. The Amtrak Cascades runs between Vancouver, Washington and Eugene with stops in numerous cities throughout Oregon while the Coast Starlight connects Los Angeles to Seattle with stops in Portland and Klamath Falls. There are also several private shuttle services available which provide door-to-door transport from Beatty to regional airports such as PDX International Airport located near Portland or Redmond Municipal Airport located just over 80 miles away.
