Silverthorne, CO is a small town in the Rocky Mountains with a population of over 4,500. Politically, the town leans towards the center-right with most of its politics being dominated by Republican candidates. Silverthorne has had two mayors since the town's incorporation in 1972, and both have been Republicans. The current mayor is Bruce Butler who was elected in 2018 and serves as an advocate for local businesses and working families. The Town Council consists of five members who are elected to serve four-year terms, all of which are currently Republican. Silverthorne works hard to ensure that its citizens have an active voice in their government and encourages residents to stay involved in local politics.
