Attalla, AL is a small town in the northeastern part of Alabama. It is a part of Etowah County and has a population of around 6500 people. The local government in Attalla consists of a Mayor and five City Council Members who are elected to four-year terms by the citizens of the town. The current Mayor is Charles O’Rear and he was elected in 2009. The five City Council members are: Janet Blalock, Greg Anderson, Tony Miller, Stephen Brown, and Mark Lowery.
