Anaktuvuk Pass is a small isolated community in Alaska’s North Slope Borough located in the Brooks Mountain range of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. It is home to the Nunamiut Inupiat, a group of Eskimos who have lived in the area for thousands of years. With a population of just over 300 people, Anaktuvuk Pass is one of the smallest communities in Alaska and is known for its active political scene.
