South Naknek, AK is a small city located in the Bristol Bay Borough of Alaska. With a population of 677 as of 2019, it is the smallest incorporated city in the United States. It is an important hub for local subsistence fishing and commercial salmon harvesting. South Naknek is also known for its involvement in local politics. The local government consists of a mayor and five members on the City Council, with elections taking place every two years to fill any vacancies on the Council.
