South Windsor is a town in Hartford County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 19,512 at the 2010 census. South Windsor is home to the headquarters of many large corporations including Travelers, Pratt & Whitney, and Kuehne + Nagel. The town has a council-manager form of government. The current town manager is Matthew Galligan.
The town of South Windsor is governed by a Town Council made up of seven elected officials who serve staggered four-year terms. The Town Council sets policy and employs a professional Town Manager to carry out its directives and oversee the day-to-day operations of the municipality. The Council holds regular meetings open to the public on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 7:00pm in the Council Chambers located at 1540 Sullivan Avenue.
