Cleveland, FL is a small town located in Liberty County, Florida. Politically, the city is governed by a Mayor and a five-member City Council. The City Council consists of four elected members who serve four-year terms and one appointed member who serves an indefinite term. The City Council is responsible for setting policy and passing laws related to the operation of the city, as well as approving the annual budget and providing oversight over all departments within the city government. Every two years, residents of Cleveland have the opportunity to elect members to serve on their City Council. Here at BestPlaces, we were looking at the voting patterns since the 2000 election and realized that we could express the results of each election as one letter. R if the Republican Party candidate won, D if the Democratic Party candidate won and I if the Independent Party candidate won.
