Ko Olina is a popular resort town in Hawaii located on the western coast of Oahu. The area is a major tourist destination, and it features some of the most luxurious resorts in the state. Politically speaking, Ko Olina is part of the Ewa District, which is represented by Rep. Matt LoPresti in the Hawaii House of Representatives. Additionally, Ko Olina itself is represented by Rep. Lauren Matsumoto and Sen. Maile Shimabukuro in local government. Here at BestPlaces, we were looking at the voting patterns since the 2000 election and realized that we could express the results of each election as one letter. R if the Republican Party candidate won, D if the Democratic Party candidate won and I if the Independent Party candidate won.
