Pupukea is a small community located in Oahu, Hawaii. The town has no local political candidates, but is represented by the state government. It is managed by the Honolulu County Council and Board of Supervisors, which are responsible for setting laws and governing over the city. In addition, there are two senators from each of Hawaii's two congressional districts who represent Pupukea and the rest of the state in Congress. Residents of Pupukea have access to many educational and recreational opportunities, as well as a variety of cultural activities throughout the year. Here at BestPlaces, we were looking at the voting patterns since the 2000 election and realized that we could express the results of each election as one letter. R if the Republican Party candidate won, D if the Democratic Party candidate won and I if the Independent Party candidate won.
