Naalehu, Hawaii is a small town on the Big Island with a population of just over 600 people. It is one of the most rural and isolated communities in the state, but it is still governed by local elected officials. The mayor of Naalehu is Joshua Keanini, who was elected to this position in 2020. He works closely with the County Council to ensure that local residents have access to the services they need to thrive in their rural community. Additionally, Naalehu is served by two representatives in Hawaii's House of Representatives: Rep. Mark Nakashima and Rep. Richard Creagan. Ive lived here for almost 20 years. This is a very rural area. There is only 1 convinience store/gas station, an Ace Hardware store and thats it. Average commute to work  More
