Schofield Barracks is a United States Army base located in Honolulu County, Hawaii. It is the largest military base in the state and serves as the headquarters for 25th Infantry Division. The base has a rich history, having been established in 1908 and named after Lieutenant General John McAllister Schofield. Politics in Schofield Barracks are shaped by local government officials who represent the interests of residents living on the military post.
