Liberty Township in Dickinson County, Kansas is a rural community with a population of approximately 2,000 people. The township is governed by the Liberty Township Trustees who are elected to their positions and serve four-year terms. The current trustees for Liberty Township are Jeff Wilbur, Shane Kadela, and Doug Cockman. Their duties include providing law enforcement services, maintaining public roads and bridges, maintaining cemeteries, managing township finances and providing other necessary services that ensure the safety of all citizens. The trustees also represent Liberty Township at county meetings and functions as needed.
