Lake Providence, LA is a small town located in East Carroll Parish in the Northeastern corner of Louisiana. Though its population is small, Lake Providence has had a long history of vibrant politics with several well-known local political candidates. In recent history, the mayoral race has been fiercely competitive as two equally qualified candidates have offered very different approaches to leading the city forward. Both candidates have put forth an array of ideas and initiatives that they believe will best serve the residents of Lake Providence. R if the Republican Party candidate won, D if the Democratic Party candidate won and I if the Independent Party candidate won.
