Riverdale Park, MD is an incorporated town located in Prince George’s County. In its brief history of incorporation since 1945, the town has been led by an elected Mayor and Council. The current Mayor, John L. Baker Jr., was elected in 2014 and is currently serving a four-year term that ends in 2018. The town also has a diverse council that is made up of six members: four from ward 1 and two from ward 2. Each council member serves a two year term with half of the council being re-elected every year.
The politics in Riverdale Park are focused on creating a safe, vibrant place for the citizens to live, work, and play.
