Clawson, MI is a small city located in Oakland County. It is governed by an elected City Council that is responsible for enacting and enforcing local laws. The City Council consists of seven members who are elected at large by the citizens of Clawson on a staggered basis. Every two years three members are up for election, and the mayor is elected every four years. In addition to the council members, there are several other boards and commissions in place to govern various aspects of Clawson life such as zoning and planning, economic development, public safety, public works and recreation. The Mayor presides over all meetings and has veto power with respect to any ordinance passed by the Council or any action taken by the City's boards or commissions. The citizens of Clawson have an active voice in their local government via elections and town hall meetings held throughout the year.

R if the Republican Party candidate won, D if the Democratic Party candidate won and I if the Independent Party candidate won.
