Ghent, MN is a small rural town with a population of around 810 people. The city operates under a mayor/council form of government and the current mayor is Matt Biermaier. The City Council consists of four members elected to two-year terms. The Council meets once a month to discuss and decide on issues related to the local community. Aside from regular council meetings, Ghent has several active committees such as the Economic Development Committee, Board of Adjustment, and Park Board that meet regularly to discuss topics pertinent to their area of interest.
