Mankato Township in Minnesota is a small municipality located in Blue Earth County. It is governed by a five-member board of supervisors, elected from the community’s residents. The township board meets regularly to discuss and pass laws and regulations regarding local affairs. The board also has the responsibility of appointing members to certain positions on various committees like the Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Adjustments, Parks and Recreation Commission, and Environmental Advisory Committee. All members of these committees are appointed by the township board for two-year terms that run concurrently with the current officeholders' term of office.
