East Prairie, MO is a small city located in Mississippi County, in the southeastern part of the state. It has a long history of political engagement and involvement with many local businesses and organizations. The city is currently under the governance of Mayor Betty Corliss who has been in office since 2011. The city council consists of six members that are elected to two-year terms by popular vote.
