Midway Township in St. Louis County, Minnesota is a small community with a population of about 2,700 people. The township is governed by a Board of Supervisors, which is composed of five members elected by the residents in each precinct during the general election. Each member is elected to serve four-year terms on the board. The board is responsible for setting policies and procedures governing the township’s operations as well as appointing an Administrator who oversees the day-to-day activities of the township. Issues that have been addressed by the Board in recent years include road maintenance, waste management, zoning regulations and economic development opportunities for businesses to locate within Midway Township's boundaries.
