New Hope, MN is a small city with a population of about 20,000 people. The city has recently gone through some major changes in its politics. In the last local election, there were nine candidates running for mayor and four candidates running for city council. All of the candidates ran on platforms advocating for better public safety, increased investments in infrastructure, more affordable housing options, and support for small businesses. Each candidate also brought their own unique ideas to the table which they believed could help improve the quality of life in New Hope for all residents. As mayor, each candidate proposed policies to address issues such as poverty and homelessness while also creating jobs and economic growth. Residents had the opportunity to learn more about each candidate's plans during campaign rallies and debates throughout the city leading up to Election Day. The results of this election have left everyone looking forward to what’s next for New Hope politics and how it will foster growth in the area.
