Sayreville, NJ is a town located in Middlesex County, NJ that is politically active. Politically, the borough of Sayreville has been governed by a Mayor and six council members since its incorporation in 1919. The current mayor is Kenneth J. Armwood III who was elected in 2017 and the Borough Council is comprised of five democrats and one independent. On the county level, Sayreville is represented by various representatives in the New Jersey General Assembly and Senate, as well as legislators from the Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
