Brookhaven, NY is a diverse and vibrant community located in Suffolk County on Long Island. The town has a long history of political activism and involvement in local politics, with many residents taking an active role in their local government. The Town Board is composed of five elected representatives who are responsible for policy decisions that affect the daily lives of Brookhaven’s citizens. Currently, the town supervisor is Edward P. Romaine and the Deputy Supervisor is Neil Foley. Residents elect a dozen board members to serve as trustees for two-year terms overseeing the budget and managing resources. In addition, there are several advisory committees made up of citizens dedicated to particular areas such as public works, environmental protection, housing, and recreation. Local elections are held every two years to determine who will lead the Town Board and make important decisions about how best to serve the people of Brookhaven.

R if the Republican Party candidate won, D if the Democratic Party candidate won and I if the Independent Party candidate won.
