Harrietstown, NY is a small town in the Adirondack region that is largely known for its outdoor recreation activities and breathtaking views. Politically, Harrietstown has been represented by Democrat Betty Danner in the Assembly since 2020 and by Republican Chris Jacobs in the Senate since 2019. The town’s mayor is John Jones and he was first elected into office in 2016. All of the other local elected offices are held by Democrats including Judge Michael Stiles and Comptroller Linda Smith. Harrietstown residents have favored Democratic candidates in most elections over the last decade as well as supporting initiatives that would benefit the environment and local businesses. The townsfolk believe that their representatives should strive to promote economic growth while also preserving what makes their town so unique.
