Hastings-on-Hudson is a small village in Westchester County, New York. The village has a total area of 1.5 square miles and is home to over 8,000 residents. Though small in size, Hastings-on-Hudson is very politically active. The village is governed by a Mayor and four members of the Village Board of Trustees, all of whom are elected by the citizens of Hastings-on-Hudson to serve two year terms in office. In addition to local elections for positions like mayor and trustee board members, the village also participates in national political elections for executive, legislative and judicial offices. On election day, many members of the community come out to vote at their local polling station.

Hastings on Hudson, NY, is a very attractive village to live in for a number of reasons. It is relatively near New York City so it is an easy commute by Metro North RR.  More
