New Hyde Park, New York is a village located in Nassau County on Long Island. It is home to many diverse people and cultures, and the politics of the area are reflective of that. The Village Board of Trustees consists of five members who are elected by residents for two-year terms. The Mayor is chosen from among the Trustees with a vote being taken at the annual organizational meeting.
