Ronkonkoma, NY is a small suburb located on the north shore of Long Island. It is home to a diverse population of over 19,000 people. Despite its size, the town has an active political scene and frequently elects officials to represent its citizens in local and state government. Ronkonkoma's current mayor is Democrat John T. Here at BestPlaces, we were looking at the voting patterns since the 2000 election and realized that we could express the results of each election as one letter. R if the Republican Party candidate won, D if the Democratic Party candidate won and I if the Independent Party candidate won. The six elections (2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020) would be expressed as six-letter word (R R D R R).

Not much goes on in Ronkonkoma. It's best feature is that it's conveniently located to easily leave. It has a non-stop speed train to Manhattan and a little private  More
