Ottawa Hills is a small village located in northwest Ohio near Toledo. It is home to approximately 4,000 people and is known for its charming residential streets and lush tree-lined neighborhoods. Politically, the village of Ottawa Hills operates under a mayor-council system with the mayor and six council members elected by the residents of Ottawa Hills to serve four year terms. The current Mayor is Mike Damaso, who was elected in 2019. The Village Council meets monthly to discuss issues related to the village such as budgets, zoning changes, public safety initiatives, and other matters that impact the quality of life in Ottawa Hills. Additionally, the village has an appointed Administrator responsible for day-to-day operations of the government as well as a Village Manager responsible for overseeing community development projects. In addition to these local officials, residents of Ottawa Hills also elect representatives at the state and federal levels who help represent their interests in government decisions and legislation affecting them.
