Lebanon, Ohio is a city located in Warren County, Ohio. Lebanon's politics are dictated by the local government which consists of a seven-member Council, an elected Mayor, and several other elected officials. The City Council is responsible for establishing laws and ordinances related to a wide variety of topics including taxation, utility services, transportation, public safety, and health services. The Mayor serves as the chief executive and oversees all operations of the city government. The other elected officials are: Clerk of Courts, Treasurer/Fiscal Officer, Prosecuting Attorney and Zoning Inspector. Each official is responsible for providing services to the residents of Lebanon. Additionally, the City Council appoints members to various boards such as Planning Commission & Board of Zoning Appeals among others that provide guidance on local policies in specific areas.
