Southampton Township is located in Franklin County, Pennsylvania and is a small rural community with just over 4,000 residents. The Township has a government which consists of three Supervisors elected to a six year term and a tax collector who are appointed. They oversee the day to day operations of Southampton Township and ensure that it runs smoothly and efficiently. The supervisors oversee the police department, parks and recreation, code enforcement, zoning, public works, fire department and other services for the township residents.
At present there are no local political candidates running for office in Southampton Township but there are numerous volunteer positions available on various committees that help guide local decisions. For example, members of the Planning Commission review development projects while members of the Zoning Hearing Board review appeals from property owners. Volunteers also serve on the Board of Auditors who audit financial records yearly as well as many other boards which help shape decisions within the Township.
