The township government is comprised of five supervisors who are elected at-large by the citizens of the township and serve four-year terms. The supervisors are responsible for setting policy for the township, administering and managing its finances, preparing an annual budget, appointing certain township personnel, and other miscellaneous duties as required by law. The township also has several committees and commissions that provide additional input on various issues affecting Schuylkill Township.
