Spring Ridge, Pennsylvania is a small town located in the rural outskirts of Philadelphia. Although it has a relatively small population of around 6,000 people, the politics in Spring Ridge are still important to its citizens. The town operates with a mayor-council government structure and hires various administrators and staff to run its operations. Every two years, local residents elect a Mayor and several City Council members from the community who serve as leaders for the town. Here at BestPlaces, we were looking at the voting patterns since the 2000 election and realized that we could express the results of each election as one letter. R if the Republican Party candidate won, D if the Democratic Party candidate won and I if the Independent Party candidate won.
