Summit Township in Potter County, PA is governed by the Summit Township Board of Supervisors. The board is composed of three members who are elected to four year terms. The Board of Supervisors oversees the township's budget and works with its citizens to ensure that the town is running smoothly and efficiently. The current Supervisors are Joe White, Melissa Mackey and Mike Smith. They are responsible for making sure that all local ordinances are in place to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens within Summit Township. They also work to provide essential services such as police protection, fire protection, street maintenance, snow removal and other municipal duties. In addition to these services, the Board also works on many community-based projects which aim to improve the quality of life for those living in Summit Township.
