Upper Dublin, Pennsylvania is a township in Montgomery County located northwest of Philadelphia. It is a suburban community with plenty of parks and recreational activities for its citizens to enjoy. Politically, the township is served by the Upper Dublin School Board and the Upper Dublin Township Council. The Council works to make sure that the residents of Upper Dublin have their needs met in terms of safety, services, and infrastructure. The nine-member group is elected every four years with three members running each time for re-election. They are responsible for creating, amending and enforcing ordinances as well as working with the local government on issues like zoning laws and public works projects. In addition to this, the council also promotes economic development in Upper Dublin by encouraging businesses to locate in the area through tax incentives and other programs.
