Alliance, SD is a small town with a population of around 2,400 people. The Alliance City Council consists of six elected officials who are responsible for the overall well-being and governance of the community. They set policy regarding the budgeting process, public works projects, zoning, and other important local initiatives. The council members are elected for two-year terms and take part in regular meetings to discuss current issues facing the town. Additionally, there is an elected mayor who serves as the head of government for Alliance.
