Dilley, TX is a small town located in South Texas. Politically, it is a largely conservative area with many of the elected officials being Republican. The mayor since 2010 has been Maria Antonia Cruz-Gastelum, who is also a Republican. She was re-elected to a fifth term in 2019 and has served as mayor since 2010. There are several other local political figures in the area including State Representative John Kuempel and County Commissioner Juan Rios, both of whom are Republican as well. The town's population is relatively small but the people of Dilley take their politics very seriously, voting consistently in elections and lobbying for issues that they feel strongly about.
