Foster, WI is a small town located in the eastern part of the state. It is an agricultural community with a long history of supporting local families and businesses in the area. On the political stage, Foster is mostly a Democratic stronghold. However, there are some Republican leaning areas as well. In recent years, local politics has been dominated by debates over tax rates and funding for public education. The current mayor is a Democrat who was elected in 2020 by a large majority. There have been several candidates vying for various offices throughout the years, but no one has been able to challenge the current mayor’s position. This November will be the first election since 2018 to feature contested races for both mayor and council seats in Foster, so voters can expect to see some new faces on the ballot.
