La Follette, Wisconsin is a city located in the southern part of the state. It is known for its beautiful landscape and peaceful atmosphere. At the local level, La Follette is served by a mayor-council form of government, with the mayor being elected at-large to serve as the chief executive of the city. The city has a seven-member Common Council which acts as legislative body for the City. Members are elected from five districts within La Follette, and two members are elected at-large from the entire city. Together they represent their constituents’ interests in approving budgets, levying taxes, adopting ordinances and formulating policy. The Common Council meets regularly each month to discuss issues relevant to city residents and make decisions accordingly. R if the Republican Party candidate won, D if the Democratic Party candidate won and I if the Independent Party candidate won.
