Trenton, IL is a small city located in Southwestern Illinois with a population of 4,370. It is the county seat of Clinton County and is governed by the Mayor and City Councilors. The current Mayor of Trenton is Matt Seitz who was elected in 2017. The City Council consists of seven members - Aldermen Andy Conaty, Rob Byers, Aaron Caraker, Kim Listerman, Dave Miller, Caleb McDaniel and Sandy Gebke. All are elected on a two-year term basis with new elections held every two years.
