Review of San Jose, California

San Francisco Bay Area Climate
Star Rating - 6/18/2013
The temperate climate is what attracts people to the Bay Area. I've lived here for more than 60 years. I am about 50 miles from San Francisco bay. The marine layer keeps the entire Bay Area very cool, even during summer months. I have never required home air conditioning because the home is well insulated and never goes above 84 degrees indoors when the outside temperature is more than 95 degrees. In the evening when the fog is over the bay the cold air cools nearby counties. On rare occasions that cooling marine layer is absent, and that leads to noticeably hotter weather. But those days are rare.
