Magic Valley - 9/17/2014
It is a hub community that is a gateway to the north of Sun Valley and to the south for Jackpot. New High School of 3 years to add to the established one. The hospital is only about 2 years old which made available the old hospital building that is the new county services building. Central old downtown has many activities and the canyon is a festive for hang gliders from all over the world. Read More

Great Place to live - 6/21/2013
Been living in Twin Falls for 2 plus years, like the people, very friendly. The Canyon is truly beautiful. Nice not to have to battle traffic, have places to walk to, plenty of stores to chose from. Wish there were more newer, affordable apartments/ condos. Read More

A comfortable, safe place to raise children. - 8/20/2012
In my 18 years here, Twin Falls has grown steadily, but all the schools, box stores, grocery stores are still within a 10-15 minute drive of each other. Traffic is a breeze compared to other areas. There are now two comparable high schools, Canyon Ridge having just opened in the last several years. You can still get real estate bargains and there is a full range of home prices in the area. Retirees from other states still seem to move here, although not as much as they have in years past.

The public school system here is adequate, but your child must be motivated to excel to be able to get into strong higher education institutions out of state. High school kids can take AP classes and classes for credit through the local community college.

The crime rate was changing just as I moved here due to the omnipresence of meth, which was relatively late getting here. Residents began to lock vehicles and homes, a new practice, and like everywhere else, it is Read More

Climate - 8/19/2012
This is a city of exteme climate changes. Snow and its expected activities in fall and winter. Spring is moderate, although it usually lasts for only a couple of months. Summer is high 80's to 103 degrees for at least 4 months of the year.
The city offers few of the activities one would expect from city life. Boise, about 100 miles north, is much more metropolitan and offers the stimulation and cultural events one has come to expect of life in any Read More

The People - 10/31/2009
The people who live in this community are kind and friendly. I moved here from California in 1991. It was wonderful to have people I didn't know smile and say hello to me in the supermarket or downtown. There were also many people in the school system that did their best to help my autistic son in school, even the children were good to Read More
