Excellent comment about lack of "township." Naples (and its various communities), for those who do not know this, has a county commission that seems to make all the decisions despite other councils (like the Naples City Council) and a mayor. It is extremely different from New England "town governments" that give local people a real voice their government and how they live. If you like living in a "town" you will hate the county form of government that seems designed to do nothing in Naples, Collier County, Florida. It's a very distant and out of touch form of government there. And, extremely different than other towns that actually run their own towns.
