Review of McKinney, Texas

Unique Historic District and Old Town Square
Star Rating - 8/26/2007
McKinney like many Texas suburban towns has been overtaken by Urban sprawl
New streets, schools, parks and ammentities come along with 1,000's of new homes.
What makes McKinney different is the intact old town square with it's original courthouse renevated into a performace hall. Charming shops & restaurants have been envigorated on the square. The area west, north and south of the square is filled with blocks and blocks of restored and well-maintained historic homes built from the late 1800's through 1930's
Many fun events throughout the year are focused on the Historic District and Town Square
