Orange County native..

So I'm a california native...born and raised here...and orange county used to be a nice quiet area with nice people and affordable housing...but now everyone from my generation has been pushed out of cali because of the real estate boom. For a 1 bedroom condo in an ok neighborhood youre going to pay about 350,000 on the low end. For a 2 bd youre going to pay about 450,000. The traffic is absolutely awful. Even on weekends and in the middle of the day expect traffic. The people here are superficial...and money driven. Now for the positive. Los Angeles is only 35 miles away...and there is something for everyone there. The nicer parts of OC are the coastal cities. Newport Beach, Laguna, Irvine, Huntington Beach, Dana Point...those are nicer areas but you pay the price for them. There is a huge hispanic community here. The beaches are very beautiful and the weather is definately unbeatable. Don't expect a lot of nature here though...its all commercial, industry and housing..I myself am looking to get out of here. I've lived here 28 years. Great mexican food, and chinese food. The people are beautiful here, but they have the egos to go with it. Anything more you want to know just ask.
