My husband and I have been researching brookings and the rest of the oregon coast for quite awhile now. In fact we recently choose brookings to get married...on the beach at sunset may 1st. Perfect weather 74. The people have always been friendly when approached with a smile and online shopping works for me. Not into malls. We currently have our home in central oregon for sale. I can't wait to move. I'm originally from Avila beach california and the laid back atmosphere and climate remind of avila...25 years ago. Beautiful, no sales tax, affordable. We're ready

Hello! I was born in SLO California and practically lived on the beach in Avila, and all the other beaches there... however am now very much interested in Brookings... have also lived in SF area, and have moved outta there and that rat race. looking for a small town with no malls and no traffic jams. peace and quiet and cool breezes versus the dry dead brutal summers of California ...
