Who moves to a small town and expects great museums and a nightlife? Seriously! That's like moving to San Francisco and wondering why there are so few Mormons and cowboys. Ridiculous!
I keep reading reviews complaining about places where there is nothing to do. Folks, here is a secret: if you need to go to a different museum exhibit or hear a new band or eat at some new restaurant every single day in order to be happy, then you need to move to NY or to LA! It's that simple! I myself was raised in a small Texas town and never wanted for things to do. I had my friends. We could hunt, fish, go driving around, go walking down the tracks, get together and play card games, play video games, visit each others' houses and grill, play basketball, pop fireworks, go to the movies, rent movies, listen to music together, tell jokes, grab a bite at a restaurant, go to the park, go swimming, play Frisbee, play with the dogs and cats, sit out on the porch and talk to neighbors, watch football, play football, go to church, ride bikes, and a whole bunch of other things. Gee whiz, some people don't know how to entertain themselves. And by the way, I had an aunt who lived in Tyler for many years. It's a nice town. I'd rather live there than Dallas.
