Don't know what to think

I moved to Cary , N.C. two years ago but have not really warmed up to it. It does have nice residential areas but that is really all there is to it. Some people work for SAS or a few other companies but most commute to Raleigh or Durham. There is little to do here and no real effort to do anything about that. If you like to stay home and tend to your yard you will be fine here. The houses are not selling here so now they are building cheap townhomes for about 250,000 plus that are really pretty badly built. I have lived all over the USA but for some reason this area is one of the least friendly I have ever encountered-there is an arrogance about being the best place to live in ratings for a few years -so maybe a curse rather than a blessing. LOL. Honestly it is just pretty but empty , no social networks, no interesting events, lots of natives who are angry that there are outsiders and their developments. Anger over shopping centers -although to me if that had not occured it would be like living in the woods. Sort of mediocre.
