glad that I moved out of Arizona
Star Rating - 6/29/2010
Finally, I found a site where I am able to voice my frustration. I just moved out of Arizona and I am glad that I did. I lived in that state for fourteen years and did have some good times and great memories, but I will say some things that people will not like or appreciate. One, there are many people in Arizona who are shallow, narrow-minded, egotistical, and rude. Many of the state's residents lack personality, heart, and determination. Second, the people in that state do not care about education and they sure as hell do not appreciate the hardworking teachers of the state; of which I was one. Third, the people lack the backbone to stand up to the legislature and to even Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who continues to run over people time after time. The weather in the summer is a furnace and there is not much to do to combat it. The businesses in Arizona go out of their way to screw their customers and their employees. Pay is lousy for many professions, but everyone keeps bending over and taking it. People cannot drive to save their life and if you ask for directions, do not count on getting any even if they have lived there for ten or more years. When you have a legitimate complaint, the best response that anyone gives is, "If you do not like it, then you can leave." How about we try to solve the problem. I am just glad to have left Arizona. There are some good people in Arizona, but they are few and far between.

I've lived in Phoenix most of my life and looking to move. There are some nice things about it but it doesn't out way the bad. I'm a tech professional and got myself into open source which is big around some parts. I've lived in Flagstaff also but there were no jobs so I have to move back down here. When I've looked for a job it's more of a competition of getting a job rather than getting a job in the first place. The pay here is very low compared to other places. I've had to take a 2nd job so I can save money to move out of here. The education is sorely lacking compared to other places. Some people will talk about having easy access to California or other places but that's no different from Snowbirds that come in the "winter time" in Phoenix. True there are some good things about Phoenix I just don't see them. Also the tech industry in Phoenix is low other than data centers and if anyone know about those places they don't need many ppl to operate it.
