Commute from Weston -
7/31/2006My boss lives in Weston, and she loves it there. But, today it took her almost 3 hours to get to work in Coconut Grove. Today was an exception, it usually only takes her 1.5 hours. So, depending on where you are going, your commute from Weston might not be fun. A lot will depend on the weather, traffic accidents, time of day, etc.

Relocating from Miami -
7/18/2006We have been thinking of getting out of Miami due to the high cost of living and traffic. Jacksonville is one of the areas we are looking at. How does it compare? I can't imagine that it is much hotter or humid than in South Florida. How does the traffic compare? What about the cost of living? Schools?

A Nice Weekend Retreat -
7/6/2006We visit Sebring almost once a month. My husband loves to golf and has lots of very nice, affordable options in the area. Our pre-school children like to go to the Children’s Museum or to Highlands Hammock State Park; for an inexpensive and fun afternoon. We recently visited the Henscratch Farms in Lake Placid and had a very nice time. The kids got to feed the hens and we got to taste some wine. We also like the Sebring Antique Car Cruise on the circle. It is a nice to get out of the city and enjoy a small town.

Nice Area -
7/6/2006Westchester is a nice neighborhood. Located between the Palmetto and Turnpike, we are centrally located. Just don’t drive by Tropical Park from Nov to Jan because of the Enchanted Forest. We are also close to Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, South Miami, and Doral (all nice places to eat and shop). Bird Bowl (one of the only bowling alleys left in Miami-Dade County) is in Westchester. You can’t beat the cheese fries at Arbetters Hot Dogs.
